Uncovering Earth's Secrets is a free eBook that introduces readers to the scientific research of the JOIDES Resolution, one of the only ships in the world that drills the seafloor for science. Readers will learn how the ship has allowed scientists to discover much more about volcanoes, earthquakes, the extinction of the dinosaurs and how the Earth works. The book is written in rhyming verse. It is beautifully illustrated by Alice Feagan.  It is available in a PDF or an interactive iBook version for iPads and Macs.

Teachers and home school parents can use the book to teach concepts about the nature of science, the integration of science and technology, seafloor features, natural disasters, and plate tectonics.
